Important Dates for Candidates
Tuesday, September 25, 2012: First day that prospective candidates may circulate nominating petitions for signature.
Monday, December 17, 2012: First day that candidates may file nominating papers with the Board Secretary's Designated Representative. The office will be open 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Wednesday, December 26, 2012: Last day to file nominating petitions and receipt for Statement of Economic Interests with the Board Secretary's Designated Representative. The office will open at 8:00 A.M. and close promptly at 5:00 P.M.
Thursday, December 27, 2012: In the event of simultaneous candidate filings, a lottery to establish the order of names on the ballot will be held at 10:30 a.m. This will take place in theThird Floor Board Room, Administration Building, 501 7th Street, Rockford, IL 61104.
Friday, January 4, 2013: Last day to file objections to the nominating papers of candidates who have filed for the April 9, 2013 school board election.
Tuesday, April 9, 2013: Consolidated election day.
