 Board Candidate Packets Available

 Interested in serving on the Rockford Board of Education? Download a candidate packet or stop by our Administration Building to get the candidate forms. All board seats will
be filled after the April election.

DEC. 14, 2012 -- Candidate packets are available for individuals who are interested in becoming members of the Rockford Board of Education.

All seven board seats will be filled during the April 2013 election. Terms will be two or four years, depending on the sub-district.

Packets can be downloaded on our website or picked up on the 4th floor of the Administration Building, 501 7th St.

Each packet includes useful information, including a list of important dates and forms that candidates must complete.

Candidates can begin dropping off nomination papers on Dec. 17; all paperwork must be filed by Dec. 26.
On Election Day, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, a registered voter and an Illinois resident who has lived within school district boundaries for at least a year prior to April 13, 2013.
The Rockford Board of Education election is non-partisan. Board candidates will not run under political party affiliation.
