Rockford Public Schools will dismiss two hours early on Tuesday, Sept. 10, because of the anticipated high temperatures and humidity. School-based childcare sites (including Y Care) will also be closed after the early dismissal.
Students who are bused home or to an off-site child care facility will be bused to their usual after-school destination at the early dismissal time.
Middle and high schools will utilize a modified practice and activity schedule for after-school events. Check with your building staff for details on extracurricular activities.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
